I was looking forward to this day all week because I wanted
to hear Selena Gomez talk about us Millennials. However I was very disappointed
because she was very shy, didn’t want to be there and she didn’t answer any of
the questions she was asked. I am however looking forward to downloading her
new app she created. It’s an app that brings back the value of photographs.
Instead of just keeping the pictures we take on our iphones or putting them on
facebook, we can print them! I also enjoyed the President of MTV speaking about
our generation. He said that MTV was the Millennial’s channel and I couldn’t
agree more. I grew up watching MTV and to this day I still watch it!
The best seminar of the entire festival was BBDO’s:
Everything counts. I loved this because it wasn’t about their company or a
question answer session; it was dissecting and analyzing real commercials. 3 different commercials and 3 different people breaking them
down to the simplest form to critique them. I found this super helpful because
I have never thought to look at a commercial frame by frame and analyze each frame;
I’ve just looked at the big picture. The three commercials they chose were ones
they thought would win awards at the festival.
